Current Materials List Questions.
I will preface me question with that I have searched the forums for a current (2024/25) "Best/Recommended waterproofing materials" and found conflicts in those products with the product test videos.
I have watch hours of the Tile Coach video on waterproofing the shower and materials tests/failures. This is where my question comes in. What are the best products today(2025), that you trust the most, for waterproof my shower which will be a mud base, FloFX drain, sheet membrane and banding, with GoBoard backing. Will apply liquid membrane as final assurance.
Mud base product?
Sheet membrane: FlowFX or Laticrete or...? I see in most of the videos the RSS product but am leaning the FlowFX since I can purchae it by the foot here.
Thinset product for bonding sheet membrane?
Assumption is the Laticrete 254 (based on a recent post by Isaac)
Liquid membrane product?
Thanks in advance.

Everything you mentioned is a quality product. I think you could mix and match any of those depending on their availability and they would work great. Hydroban is my preferred liquid.
