Shower Remodel Progress and Next Steps
Hi All,
Got slowed down quite a bit with two little ones at home but trying to kick my project into a higher gear. Rough-in and durock completed, ready for mortar bed and all the various waterproofing steps.
Current plan:
Alkali resistant tape and thinset at all cement board seams.
Mortar bed and flo-fx drain.
Sheet membrane waterproofing on mortar bed with banding at floor transitions + curb.
Liquid applied waterproofing from the base of walls to ceiling.
5. Penny mosiac tile on the floor.
6. 5" porcelain hexagon tiles on the walls.
7. Penny mosaic at back of niche, single piece rectangles around the inside of niche to limit joints.
8. TBD on the curb tile, suggestions appreciated.
Anything I should be overly concerned about or aware of? All tips/tricks/advice is welcome and appreciated!!

So far so good! Installing the door today.
