Kerdi membrane plus waterproofing band process
For my shower walls, (over a pre-made solid surface base) I have durock on the walls. I plan on using All Set to install Kerdi membrane along with Kerdi band at the vertical corners and niche. Questions:
Can I use the thin set to glue down the band to the membrane, or do I need something like Kerdi Fix (or 8 plus 9)? Is there a better option?
If I cut the corners of the membrane aound the niche and use Kerdi-fix, do I need the pre-made corners?
Would I ber better off just using a liquid waterpoofing over the durock?
