Thoughts on this one-piece quartz shower pan?

I'm considering it, but I have reservations about how to install it and tile up to it. Here is an installation diagram:
I'm a DIYer with a lot of experience, but I would really value your opinions on how to install this. Should I do it exactly how they say? It just sits on the subfloor. I would have thought the subfloor should be waterproofed first.

If you want a tiled pan, I would recommend Revolutionary Shower Systems foam pan. You can get them custom dimensions and drain locations. Otherwise, go with an acrylic pan.
