Waterproofing behind a shower that is already installed
Hello all I just recently had a tile setter install my marble tile in my bathroom. the tile setter claimed to know what he is doing and so I trusted him to waterproof the shower and install the marble tiles as well. Now after installation I’m seeing that not only did he not waterproof the shower he didn’t even seal the tiles either. he left large gaps at the bottom corners where the marble and shower base meet, and I’m really scared the shower is going to leak and cause damage. luckily i have a wall behind the shower and i can open it and hopefully seal it from the back.
Can anyone provide me some advice to make sure it doesn’t leak, the bottom corner doesn’t have wedi board going all the way to the floor so the seems aren’t touching or sealed I will send photos. thanks for your help.
the photos below show where the wedi board stops about an inch and a half about the cement floor, so no banding or schluter membrane was installed befor laying the shower base.
