Does this shower pan need anything else at the drain flange?
As I waterproof my shower pan, I applied my first coat of liquid membrane last night and started wondering if this was okay. Here is what I have, from the top down:
AquaDefense liquid membrane
NoFlow fabric membrane
Thinset
FloFX bonded drain flange
Mud bed
Steel lath
Plastic sheet
Plywood subfloor
Here is an extreme closeup of the drain flange:

Do I have to apply the liquid membrane to completely cover the thinset and onto the drain flange or is the thinset under the fabric membrane sufficient? Alternatively, would/should I use a silane based sealer here?
The devil is in the details and if I were a drop of water, I would try to sneak in there somewhere. Any help or suggestion is appreciated!

It looks like the thinset got thick, it should almost all be squeezed out. But as long as yuo cover it well with Aqua Defense, it should be fine
