Shower Waterproofing

New to the site, planning curbless shower...

Hey folks, new guy in Virginia.

I have enjoyed watching the YouTubes and other install/info vids. Issac, thanks for the effort it takes to produce quality stuff.

I am starting out planning a new construction with curbless/zero entry shower. So, I am looking for a system/option that would give waterproof for the shower and for the floor area.

I see quite a few options for products. I am drawn to the RSS system, don't know why really.

I will be framing the shower area floor lower.

Any issues with using their complete line of product, pan, mat, panels or membrane? I guess that if there are issues down the road that mixing manufacturers could cause an issue if warranty were to be needed.

I am looking to end up with about 4x5 usable shower space with total slope area of approx 5x5 so water across the entry side will flow to a center drain. Planning on a curtain for keeping the water in the shower area. Drain may be a little offset so it is in the center of the main shower area.

I feel pretty confident that I could handle installing a dry pack base though. I know there would be some material cost differences depending on the option I choose.

Not gonna be in a hurry, pan vs drypack installation. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have about my plans and I am happy to give more info if it helps.

Also, does anyone have experience with wall mounted toilets. I would like to make more floor space and these fixtures seem pretty 'cool'.

Thanks!!!

I agree. The tile redi system is a more foolproof way to go, and higher density foam than RSS.
