Liquid Hydroban Over Kerdi Bonding Flange
I've got a Schluter bonding flange installed in a mud bed and I'm wondering if there's a fluid applied waterproofing membrane that I can use here, or am going to be better off using kerdi sheet membrane for the pan?
I'd prefer a liquid applied like hydroban or aquadefense.
Also, mud pans are much more labor intensive than Isaac makes them look!

I failed a flood test with this application and figure it was the hairs of the felt wicking water in through the liquid hydro ban. I don’t think 2 coats over the membrane is sufficient.
