Curb Size - How Wide?
I am about to build out our next shower and had a question based on my experience with the last shower: How wide should the shower curb be? In the first shower it came in at about 5 inches, which is about right: 2x4 + Go Board (.49") + mortar + tile + profile. I don't have a picture handy, but it seems pretty big/monolithic, though it is a small shower to begin with. The next shower build, starting this weekend, will be similar.
I don't have strong feeling about this, but just curious. Any thoughts on this?

Do you slope it biased to the shower for drainage? What do find is the best consistent item to add within the thinset under the tile to be consistent? A tile spacer ? 1/8" size?
