Glass Installation
I’m having a glass company install glass very similar to the picture below and not sure if I should go with the clips (pictured below) or go with “deco-sg” channels.
My concerns with the clips:
1. Clips screws will penetrate the waterproofing.
2. 1/16th - ish gap between the clip and glass could cause some water to come through
Concerns with deco-sg:
Any thoughts or recommendations are greatly apricated.

sorry for the delay Shane. Glass pros will silicone the gap underneath the clip and into the hole they drill. Yes it technically penetrates the waterproofing. A lot of companies will only drill 1" and even clip off the end of a wall enchor to fit in the shallow hole.
Deco works great too. just make sure install it very level and plumb.
i personally like the look of the deco even though its more labor.
