Liquid waterproofing over kerdi board?
We are nearing the end of this journey (thank god) and we’re curious about using ardex 8+9 or hydroban over the board. We’ve seen several people say not to do this but have never given a very good logical reason as to why other than the fact that it voids the warranty. I’m assuming it would be difficult for us to get warranty coverage anyway, so I’m not super concerned about that part. It would just give us some peace of mind with some extra coverage.
Has anyone here used it over the kerdi board/bands/pan? And do you recommend ardex 8+9 or hydroban?
