Mud bed thickness over 3/4" plywood subfloor.
My shower project is removing a pre-fab and building a 40" x 48" shower on a 3/4" plywood subfloor on 16" centers. I am using a FloFX drain and RSS surface membrane with Hydroban for wall seams. Hardi board waterproof for backer board.
I would appreciate some clarification on how thick should the mud bed should be. Laticrete states 2" minimum for mud bed, others say .75" - 1.25" min.
I also have gotten discrepancies in what lath to use. Some say 2" x 2" 16 ga., others say diamond lath. Some say staple it down, others say embed the lath in the middle of the mortar bed.
Clarification on these topics would be great! I attached pics so any other advice or concerns would also be appreciated.

3/4” minimum mud bed. 1” better.
Diamond lath, stapled down over cleavage membrane.
