Shower Waterproofing

Hi everyone.

Wondering how to go about doing this shower. I'm DIY. Would really like to do it right and once. Regular sheet rock walls. Concrete floor. It's a 5x9 bathroom in garage. I have 13x39 porcelain for walls. haven't figured out floor yet.

Was going to check level this weekend and self-level if needed. What do I use to mud up around drain stack in basement shower? Post mix? Deck mud?
