Shower Waterproofing

Hey all,

Glad to finally join the forum, I’m a GC in Sacramento. Mainly do bathrooms.

So I got a 6’x4’ shower, with a bench and niché above it at the end.

Originally I thought pan liner but with the bench I don’t want to be gluing any pan line and such.

so I’m thinking of doing hot mop, my tile guy recommended it as well. Local hot mop guy is good price too.

So what can I use on the walls? Would go board be a bad idea? I don’t want to float the walls. The pan/curb is one thing.
