Go board + LATICRETE HYDRO BAN ADHESIVE AND SEALANT
Hi, I'm diying a full bath, first time doing this. I'm a young mom and inexperienced in this area. Since I couldn't afford a tile installer to do the job (and to be honest is quite a luxury because the prices are high in the sky) I decided to do it myself by following your YouTube channel. I had to self-level the floor, it was 3/4" out of level it went wrong. I did the prep right I ground the floor, sealed and primed + metal lath but it didn't level right so I had to grind the self-level concrete. It was hard but turned out right.
On the shower I invested in a custom made Tile ready trench pan, my shower is 34 1/2" x 56" so I had to. On the walls, I install a go board with Kerdi screws and washers. I didn't read the installation manual and didn't use the caulk sealant that the manufacturer recommended. I know is the manufacturer and I just violated the warranty by using LATICRETE HYDRO BAN ADHESIVE AND SEALANT paired with goboard which they didn't recommend on the approved material list. When I went to the store an associate said those products were almost the same, one with better quality than the other but basically built out of the same material. I couldn't afford Hydroban foam board so I went with Go board and Hydroban sealant caulk. Am I doing it right? Will this work or break down the road?

Thanks, this gives me peace of mind. I'll be coming back to this forum since I'm halfway to finish my project.
