Sealant and Banding?
Hi everyone,
After watching the recent Redi Tile Pan and Wall Board installation videos, I ordered a Redi Tile pan and wall boards (used the “tilecoach” discount code). I like how the horizontal boards have a lap joint/overlap. I added the Redi Flash between the shower pan and the wall panels for a similar lap joint. However, I have concerns over how the system calls for only using sealant for the vertical (inside corner) seams.
On the vertical seams, I am considering applying modified thinset (Multi Max Lite) over the sealant (Redi Sealant), and then putting on membrane banding (FloFX).
Thoughts?

Yes, if you want to add band that is fine but there will be build up. If its large tiles it won't be a problem. But smaller tiles, maybe so.
