Applying Thinset On Ditra
When troweling thinset (All Set) on Ditra, is the goal to get all the "nooks and crannies" completely filled with thinset and then build upon that to key in the notches?
I only ask because in some of the videos I have seen, that definitely does not appear to be the goal.
Also, has anyone noticed that the water ratios on the All Set bags differ from the Schluter website? The bags are at least one quart higher in the ratio. At least regarding the membrane mix. I have two new bags of All Set and the they say to use a lot more water than the online spec sheet for All Set.

Forget the bag directions. You'll find a nice creamy feel. That ratio never works.
Yes ditra wants you to completely fill the mat and voids, then tile on top.
