Tile Layout Isn't Working
I'm doing an alcove tub remodel and I've got a massive glass block window on the alcove wall, above the tub. We got 4"x12" tile, but cannot figure how to make it work without several slivers and small cuts.
It seems like the narrow columns on both sides of the window are a big part of the problem. I've included a couple sample layouts and dimensions.
Does anyone have any advice on layout or know how to handle this situation? Should I use a different tile?

The horizontal layout looks fine to me. Nothing wrong with that!
