Isolation barrier on concrete slab
I'm replacing glue down hardwood as part of a kitchen remodel with porcelain wood plank. I know I need to get the concrete perfectly level or at least no high spots for the large format tile.
So beyond scrapping the Anderson Duck Glue mastic (it was a very sticky adhesive, last time I had to pull a couple pieces up it was still tacky) off the concrete what would I use to remove the last of the mastic and should I paint the concrete with RedGuard afterwards to provide an isolation barrier?

Since it is concrete I would think no other treatment would be required. Glue is a pain and on the past I have taken a grinder to the concrete to rough it up and remove the glue. Good luck.
