1965 shower
Hello.
I am going to remodel my second shower in my home built in 1965. I remodeled my shower in my previous home and demo ed the shower pan and made a box out around the old drain and changed the p trap and back filled and put pebbles around the new pvc drain pipe but now I'm thinking doesn't cutting out a concrete box out around the drain weaken the structural integrity of the slab foundation? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Ok sounds good. I've tried and tried to research that issue as I have found conflicting information but I trust your word been watching u for a while and u are always spot on. I meant to ask what about the moisture barrier below the p trap. How would u go about replacing it once the original has been disturbed when I do my box out. Thanks man
