Another controversy:

My next project will require glass panel clamps placed on the curb where they will of course be thoroughly doused.

There seem to be two schools of thought here:

1. screw the clamps into the curb applying silicone to the screw holes

2. never screw into the curb (use epoxy?)

My glass guys fall into the first club - screw into the curb using silicone

My current thinking is this:

Let them use screws (plus silicone) but construct the curb entirely from cement so that there is no wood potentially exposed to water.

Sound thinking?
