Uncoupling Membrane Questions
DIY'er here, had a question regarding uncoupling membranes such as "scluter-ditra" "strata-mat" and comparable materials.
My house has some seasonal movement (within the limits of the home foundation warranty, I've called them out multiple times and nothing they can/will do currently), causing some small shifts in my bathroom over time. Slab on grade foundation. I am looking at demo'ing out my entire master bath, and adding a walk in shower with a mud bed float.
For the uncoupling membrane, should/can I cover the entire floor of the bathroom, including under where the shower pan and floor tiles should go, and then do tile work on top? Does it matter if I run continuously under the shower curb from the bathroom floor to under the shower pan, or should I stop at the edge of the curb?
Also curious if there are similar methods available for wall tile to "uncouple/decouple" from wall movement if there is any other than using caulk joints at corners.
Rough model of what I am planning on doing, any additional comments/tips welcome. Plan is for the tub to sit inside the shower pan as well, and have one long liner curb run the width of the bathroom. I may adjust that to 90' over before the tub but waiting for it to arrive so I can a layout in space and see how crowded the shower access feels:

Thanks for help team!

Thanks for the response Issac. My current plan is a dry pack / mud bed shower pan, flowfx drain, using hydro ban membrane on top / wrapping the curb. Similar to your install on the "shower for beau" series.
