Isaac video on multimax lite

Hello. I saw Isaac's video on multimax lite how he said he likes it because it is smooth and creamy and has no sand and that itsgood for water proof membranes but then I saw the other video Isaac made about multimac lite and he mixed the higher ratio of the water table and it still came out pretty thick and un workable.

I am a beginner and I read somewhere that u shouldn't use anything higher amount of the watering table because it can decrease the integrity of the product. I prefer the creamier sand free stuff. Im in the process of adding my membranes so what thin set should I use that is smooth and creamy and not sandy for my membranes?

Also what should I use to set my foam pan and curb. And what size trowel should I use for the pan and curb and water proof membranes.

Thank you
