Starting Lineup

Line of Tile as Water Barrier.

This is a little out there as a tile project but it does involve laying tile. I need feedback on the sanity of it. My garage and carport were both built on the same monolithic slab. The garage is enclosed but the carport is open on two sides, with no slope to the portion of the slab under the carport. What happens is when a big storm blows in on the carpport side, rainwater accumulates on the pad and slowly works it's way under the garage wall, creating puddles in the garage. I came up with a plan to put down a row of tile on the carport side that ran the length of the pad, and was butted up against the garage wall. I'm just not experienced enough to know if it's a good idea or not? It would only have to stop a creeping puddle of water so it should be high enough? I found some 3 inch by two feet long edging tile at Habatat that should work. It's either this or wall in the carport.

I don’t see the problem in doing that
