Premixed mud bed or mix my own 5:1?
Should I mix my own mud bed for a 5:1 ratio or use the premix 4:1? Is there an advantage of one over the other?

Update.
Ended up going with Laticrete premixed floor mud. It got the job done but I was surprised at how large the “sand” was. I was expecting a finer sand. It did finish surprisingly smooth in the end.
