Shower floor tile not adhering to floor
So i thought everything was going smooth until i tried to tile the shower floor yesterday. I had the mud bed sloped properly , i used Hydro Ban to seal it all up and it looked great. yesterday morning i laid the shower floor tile and had a few minor issue but overall not too bad for my first try. I used Multimax lite and went directly over the hydro ban. When i checked the tiles this morning there were tons of tiles that were not adhering to the floor.
So at this point with so many tiles loose I pulled them all up and am left with what seems to be a semi dry layer of Multimax. Question I have is what do i do from here. Can i try again right over the thinset thats there or will it need to dry then be scuffed up or removed. The coverage seemed to be ok when i pulled up the tiles so I am not sure what went wrong

Hi Art. What a mess. Lol. Personally, I would strip that thin set off the floor. Get it smooth again, reapply the liquid paint on membrane and retile. I know it is not going to be ideal. But with a grinder, sander, and or scraper you can get it done. As for the tiles since they are small it may be more cost efficient to lay new tiles rather than trying to chip away thin set. It is hard enough on large tiles and I can only imagine how difficult it would be on smaller tiles.
