Isaac's grout tests have me worried

I just watched the YouTube vids on this and I am mostly concerned about my planned shower pan. Concerned on 2 points.

  1. I was planning on using Custom Solutions (CS) grout but Prism seems to be weak but is PolyBlend any better. I started with CS because of the color selection but I prefer to have a strong grout. What is the best product recommendation for grouting a shower pan? Mapei?

  2. Please take a look at the mosaic tile my wife chose. The gaps are really tight. I believe this means I will need an unsanded grout. However, even with unsanded grout, is it possible to adequately grout a tile like this. Especially being a shower pan where so much water will flow any tight gap I don't get adequately filled is a risk and that risk seems to be high. Should we reconsider the tile?

Thanks in advance

Dan

Hi Dan- I'm not sure that would be the best material to use for a shower pan. I would opt to use it as an accent and select another material like porcelain, ceramic, or pebbles for the pan.

I would recommend customs polyblend non-sanded grout for that.
