Corner shelves
Has anyone used a floating corner shelf like "The Original Granite Bracket" (the product link is long, but you can google it). Theirs is attached by these brackets:
I did floating shelves in my kitchen, using brackets attached to the studs like this:
I could DIY a shower shelf in a similar way, but what would I do about waterproofing? Preformed corners and banding (then Hydro Ban)?

Go Board core, then tile. I meant to say "seat" rather than "shelf". The item I was referring to comes 18" and 24". I'm thinking I'd go with 17" in. Do you think that would be sturdy enough for a bench?
However, now that you mention it, this could be a feasible small shelf, like 5" or so. I agree the bracket would be overkill for a shelf in that case. Do you think that would work with silicone?
