Unmodified thin set for Large format tiles?
Getting ready to install our 12” x 36” x 1/2” large format tiles on the walls. I have the Kerdi membrane on the wall and I am planning on using Schluters un modified thinset. I called Schluter & of course “they” say it’s all good. looking for some real world - experienced feedback. Any coaches or others with experience care to comment? Don’t care about Schluter’s warranty.

I highly recommend using the Schluter All-Set which is highly modified. It is a good LHT mortar. Another recommendation would be Laticrete LHT Plus. I do not recommend any unmodified thinset for installing LHT.
