Tile chipping?

I borrowed my neighbors Workforce THD 550 wet saw and am getting some light chipping with it. I'm cutting 12x24 porcelain upside down and as slow as I possibly can. Another issue is the saw is too small for LFT so I'm having to use it without a fence. I'm pretty good keeping it straight but worried when I get to my next wall, where the tile edge isn't hidden, that it may not turn out great without a fence guide. Now I'm thinking I may just have to buy a saw or slide cutter.

Should I try a higher grade blade for the workforce, still have the no fence issue, get a decent slide cutter, get a decent wet saw but big enough for LFT with a fence or maybe a variable speed grinder with buffing pad? Floor and decor has a Sentinel for $175 or HD Rigid 7"? I've read some cheap glossy tiles don't like to cut good either. What's the chance of that? These aren't the cheapest tiles by any means but not high end either.

I hate to buy a saw but I'm not going to come this far to make it look like crap. Thanks

No problem. We buy the green painters tape. Scotch Rough surface.

Tape it to the tile and make our mark on the tape with a fine pencil.

Sticks well even thru a wet saw
