I have my shower floor tile dry fit and want to set my drain location & height because I want to set the tile from the center of drain and work my way out.

My question:

I know my drain height should be lower than the tile but without my tile set with the thin set, how high should I set my drain height? (Do I need to allow for thin set thickness on the octagon tile??)
