Mud bed dry time?
How long should the shower mud deck (1/2" - 1" thick) dry before covering it with a waterproof coating?
Numerous instructions and guides aren't specific due to the variables such as bed depth and ambient weather conditions.
I'm in Sacramento and typical days are 90-100 and relatively dry. It seems maybe 3 days in hot and dry weather should be sufficient. It seems dry and hard after two days but wanted to check in just to avoid a FU.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I did wait close to that time, then covered with hydroban, waited a few hours then later covered with the fiberglass cloth and epoxy resin. it will float the house in case of major flood?
Fiberglass 1708 Biaxial Mat Cloth has 17 oz biaxial cloth back with 8 oz of chopped strand mat, a total of 215 oz/sq yard. it is laid down across the shower floor and up the sides and out into the open zone outside the shower. It also lines the hidden drain. It's 100% sealed and waterproof and very strong so it will never crack or leak under any sort of movement. If there were movement than the only place it can leak is at the top of the side edge and that's 8" above the floor. water would have to get through the tile, tileset mortar, and behind the hydroban liquid. It'd take a look for that level of water penetration.
laser line looks off but it is spot on and 1" slope front to back over 38", a bit above 1/4" per foot, test good drainage into trench and trench has good slope to exit.
ready for tiling!
