Positioning of tub filler and tube
Finally got time to start working on the tub placement. Not sure if there's any specific guidance from experience on the spacing from the wall and the tub. I have both the filler and tub centered in the alcove and I've ensured that the filler's drip will land in the tub.
Given that I'm planning to tile the walls around the tub should I move it out so it's 2" away from the tile surface?

Try to leave about a 1/2-in gap between that finished escutcheon and your finished tile. A gap, or reveal makes it look like you planned it.
