How to patch chipped tile edge, cut small hole and polish cut edge.
Hello,
I have a chipped tile corner. This happens pretty frequently on the floor tile that I've installed as well. Is there a way to patch this up instead of cutting a new one?
And I get a lot of chips when using a 1 3/8" hole saw, I wonder, if this one from floor and decor would be better or it will turn out the same. I start the cut at an angle and did not use water. https://www.flooranddecor.com/installation-tools-tile-stone-installation-materials/rubi-1-3-8in.-easy-gres-wet-diamond-drill-bit-100706431.html
For the long edge when cutting it does get chipped edges and I use a polish stone by hand and it takes quite a while. Is it worth using this type of attachment? https://www.flooranddecor.com/rubi-installation-materials/rubi-4in.-wet-resin-200-grit-polishing-pad-100080720.html
We finished one wall and it was a lot easier this time! Almost done.
Thank you!
Annie

You can use knifegrade polyester resin (2 part) and coloring kit. There is also kits you can buy (google tile chip repair) that work well.
For the hole saw, diamond brazed bits work better. And a little water helps.
100 grit polishing pad and variable speed grinder is awesome for smoothing out chips, but pricey tool for a few cuts. It looks like your blade is pretty chippy...what are you cutting with?
