How thick can you go with deck mud?
About ready to put in a pan with deck mud but i will need to be between 4 and 4 1/2 inches thick in some areas . Is it ok to go up to 4 1/2 inches thick with deck mud? I know I have seen some places that say 3 inches is about the max you want to be. If I cant go that thick whats the best option to fill in the extra height over a slab. Thanks

You should be fine with 4-1/2” of deck mud.
