SHOWER DRAIN TO FLO-FX FLANGE

I need to attach a flo-fx bonding flange here so that I can float a deck-mud slope on this slab.
Question: Can I use an inside 2" to inside 2" coupling to stub the pipe up above the floor??
It's 2" sch40 pvc in the floor. I really don't want to chisel this drain assembly out if I don't have to. There is radiant in the slab and the drain body is verrry close to the insulation/vapor barrier below the concrete.
Thanks,

Thanks Larry,
But what's the harm in extending the pipe with an inside coupling (or I.D.xO.D.) and just burying the old drain in deck-mud forever? Would that be a weakness that would show itself later on?

Just trying to simplify this project as much as possible. But, I also want to do it correctly.
