Shower curb & pan build options

Hello, got a question on different ways to build shower curbs, I have been building them out of 2" foam board stacked and ripped to size, but it has been becoming more difficult to get my hands on the material and in my opinion the 2" thick sheets are expensive, are there other quality long term options? I have 2 showers coming up and the curbs will be 6' long and not sure if foam will be best option and stick to that or if you guys have some other options.

Also I will be doing dry pack pans, it is in a 1 level house, with wood subfloor. What are some steps to prepping the subfloor or precautions to take with it being wood. typically i have done Laticrete shower kits when it comes to wood subfloor and others have been concrete subfloor, but with the odd size showers these are i am unable to get a shower kit for them.

Thank you

thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I did have one more question if that's alright. went to look at a job and the already have the traditional Oatey drain roughed in. Is there any way i could use that drain with a mud deck pan like i normally do than waterproof it with membrane from the top or is that drain only work with rubber liners?
