Matching the shape in order to cut the tile
Hello Isaac, Well I built the dry pack pan according to your easy method using the ledgers and 2 screeds. My floor is 41x44 with the drain about 6" offset. The result is that the floor is not level across each of the wall sides. The corners are all higher than the center by as much as 0.5". I'm not really sure how this happened. Maybe it is due to buildup of the hydroban membrane and thinset in the corners? Yes, there is a 2-layer overlap there but maybe I have too much thinset there. I dont know. Anyway, I will need to cut the skirt tiles to this shape at the floor edge. Can you offer advice on how to get the floor elevation traced onto the long edge of a 12x24" tile?
Thank you

Sounds like you need practice. Did you check the sides for level once you were done and before you worked your way to the drain? Once it was in, did you check the slope to the drain with a level all around?
