Tiling final check-in for a shower redo...
Want to make sure my sequence is correct so would appreciate anyone who scans and finds a red herring...
Install the shower pan for good
Install 1/2" perma base backerboard on even/level studs using the recommended fasteners
Install fiberglass tape (alkali resistant) and Schluter membrane with Schluter All Set using 1/8" square or 3/16" V notch
Install Schluter niches and fasten with their screws (adding in those waterproof LED light strips too!)
Cover corners and screws with Schluter membrane strips and All Set
Tile walls (bottom row last) with the 12"x24"x0.37" porcelin tiles & edging using Laticrete TriLite & 1/2"x1/2" square notch
Tile floors with the same tile using Laticrete LHT & 1/2"x1/2" square notch trowel
Grout tiles (recommendations anyone?)
Seal gap between shower pan and bottom tiles with 100% pure silicone or silicone grout (need advice...)
Install shower door
Appreciate the sanity check by anyone...
Last post for the night....

My rough MEP inspections are tomorrow so will make sure layered redguard will be allowed since easier, since have some leftover, and don’t have to experience the Kerdi life then.
So gotta find one of your videos on how to niche if you think easier to make out of permabase framed with 2x4’s than try using the Kerdi 12” niche I planned on using. Got one or use the premade Kerdi’s?
Will stick with modified thin sets I listed above since you didn’t counter with others…
Thanks for the grout and sealer suggestion!!!!
