Shower Ceiling
I am planning to install 12x24 marble tile in my 48"x60" shower. I have installed Kerdi board on the walls and 1/2" moisture resistant drywall on the ceiling with Kerdi membrane over the top of it. Did I install the right materials on my ceiling? Will it hold my heavy marble tile or do I need to rip it out and install plywood with cementboard instead?

That should be fine as long as the membrane is attached well with thinset. Maybe give it a little pull in the corner and make sure it is bonded well
