Running out of thinset.
I purchased a bag of Schluter All-Set to go with the Kurdy Cloth on top my dry pack, per the recommendation of the guy at Floor & Decor. The cloth is down, the floor is in and I'm currently working on placing the 12" x 24" tiles on the walls but I'm about to run out of the Schluter All-Set. Not a big deal but a friend who just finished his shower project had most of a bag of VersaBond left over from his job. I'm wondering if there is any reason I shouldn't use it when mine runs out? I'll just be setting wall tiles with it. I used Hydroban over the cement board on the walls, no cloth. Do I need to mix anything besides water? He was adding some liquid polymers but I think it's "modified" already.

I went ahead and used the VersaBond my friend gave me. I'm only setting four rows high at a time so there's not a huge load on any one tile. So far so good.
