Freestanding bathtub facets
What's the deal with freestanding bathtub facet prices ranging from under $200 to over $1400 ? ... and that $1400 one needs an over $200 base ! That makes for a 4x price range.
Does anyone have any recommended brands/models in the moderate price range say around $400?
Note it will be used infrequently.

Yep we use the Delta ones. And yes, they are pricey. Really high quality. I’ve seen the Amazon ones and they are terrible with thread on hoses and bad mounting hardware.
