Bathtub Tile Flange Sticks out past rest of kerdi board
I'm doing a full bathroom remodel from old "Grandpa bathroom" with an alcove tub. When I put the Kerdiboard on the shower valve wall, I got it nice and flush with the drywall adjacent to it, but this meant it is actually set back from the tub tile flange about 1/3 of an inch. The rest of the kerdiboard going up to the ceiling is perfectly plumb.
Is this too much of a gap to make up with thinset? Could I thinset a new 1/4" kerdiboard to the area above the flange?
I've already put the kerdiband over it and I'd hate to have to rip it all out, and replace it, just to fur it out 1/3"...

Thanks; at the time, I was more worried about keeping the kerdi in plane with the drywall, but ive since realized it's more important to keep the tile in plane and just mud out the drywall. Lesson learned
