Shower Drain Fitting Removal - Concrete Pan
Hello all. I recently removed the shower pan (concrete, I believe) in my bathroom. It was original to the home which was built in 1964. I drilled around the perimeter of the cast iron pipe and chipped out all the lead. I did not find any oakum. I definitely drilled deep enough because my first hole went a bit too deep into the body of the cast iron fitting and snapped the drill right off.
I am not sure how to remove this. My only thought is to hit it with an angle grinder and try to make the fitting look like a "C" and then pry it off the pipe or just cut more off. Any suggestions? The bottom image shows the thickness of the shower pan.
