Mud bed and a "low spot??"

Happy Friday,

I have question. My wife and I did our first mud bed in a walk-in shower yesterday. I followed Isaac's video for using a flo-fx drain and a ledger as a guide to screed the correct slope, which was EXTREMELY helpful and the slope work out great!!! I do have some small uneven areas but nothing major. Unfortunately, I do have 1 area of concern. One of the corners seems high and has created what I see as a low spot. I have attached pictures with a few notes written on my phone about the height of the gaps. one pic the board is NOT in the corner all the way, the other it is in the corner. I attached the overall picture for any comments.

I was thinking on getting a masonry rubbing brick to knock down anything that seems to excessive. Good idea or should a use a thicker set mortar to fill in a little? Or am I being to obsessive so I can sleep at night?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Darin Lasky

If the high corner is so high that it makes your lines wonky and you're a perfectionist like me, you could grind it down a bit and chip out the corner and then patch it with the same thin-set that you'd use to screed the low spot, but one thing I've learned after doing all of this stuff is that the little details that you think will drive you nuts seem to disappear into the world of not-being-noticed-at-all after the project is complete, i.e., the value of completing a project sometimes trumps the value of having perfect lines.
