New "Tile Redi" shower install

I will be remodeling this bath by removing the garden tub and the corner shower. The new shower stall will be 60" by 42". It will start with the shower head end to the right and go right to left. The toilet will go in the left hand corner. See 3D model below.

My plan was to use the Tile Redi system with Redi Base Single Curb Shower Pan With Center Drain, 42″D x 60″W, with the Redi Drain® Brushed Nickel Drain Plate, 4¼″ square, 2 - Redi Niche® Single Recessed Shelf, 16″W x 14″H x 4″D, and finally the Redi Wall board kit with 8 wall boards 36" x 60" and 4 tubes of Redi Sealant. There will also be a corner seat that is 24" across and 16" tall which I will fabricate and cover with the Redi Wall board. (See bottom picture.) I will seal all the corners and the seat corners with sealant and finish off with Redi waterproofing seal tape.

The tile will be pebble on the floor and 12" by 24" tile on the walls.

For those of you who have used the Tile Redi system, is this a good plan?

Thanks,

Randy

What kind of floor for you have? Where is the location of current wash closet? Your plan calls for a change in plumbing, so that’s going to need some surgery. I would consider that first. The tile redi stuff sounds fine to me.
