Shower Build Advice
Hey guys, my name is Mirza. I am new to building showers with all these options, drain kits, water proofing, Etc. Once I found The Tile Coach online I have been obsessed with learning how to build better & higher quality showers for customers, and for myself to grow and become better with every job I do.
This is a shower I built today & i will post pictures of the build. Reason for me posting is I am asking for advice on what I could do better on the next one, any advice, recommendations and help is very appreciative so thank you.
Material I used, incase I should change something for the next one.
Flo Fx drain
Perma base foam tile backer
Laticrete waterproofing membrane for corners & seams and also pan liner.
Weidi 2" double stacked boards for the curb & a weidi niche ( what was easily assessible from local tile vendors
Laticrete 253 gold for Thinset material for applying waterproofing
* drain is not centered, foundation floor & the customer wanted to leave it where it was to save cost.
Again thank you guys so much

Thank you so much, one more question i had was i have seen in some of your videos of you running you backer board first and to the subfloor than building your pan inside of that. Can i do that with foam backer or is that only with the more cement style backer? thank you!
