Shower Pan w/Laticrete 209

Long time TC follower on YT. Issac and Sal are my two go-to's for this stuff. First time asking for help.
Completed a shower pan with Laticrete 209 floor mud and I'm concerned. Many sections of the deck were flaking off with a shop vacuum during cleanup. This was either user error or possibly bad deck mud, I think it was the latter. I'm going to post a video below as it sums it up. Asking for some guidance on this one as to make the corrective actions. I'll include some photos, post ~20hrs after setup. Is this fixable or tear out/redo?

Hey Coaches - new dry pack pan in place. I can say that the 5:1 mix using Portland cement and play sand was indeed much smoother and easier to mix/manage. 😎
One thing I noticed is that there are different "play" sands. I choose the Sakrete Natural sand as it's more like the coarse sand you mentioned, kind of like the plaster sand example. There is also a Quickrete "play" sand that is so fine, it's almost like powder and bright white, this is what Home Depot carried only. Glad I choose the Natural sand for the dry pack, it was at Lowe's. Portland cement only at HD and nothing at Lowe's. Luckily I have both within 1 mile of each other.
Overall, the new pan surface was very smooth, cured without any surface flaking and is solid, very cool. The photos show I suppose screed lines, but it is smooth to touch regardless.
Lastly, no damage to the FloFX flange during removal of the old pan, I actually left the old pack intact around it and just pack the new around it.
I'm happy. Installed membrane and now into water testing for 24-hrs. Thank you!
