Concrete shower pan on liner flexes at edges. Fix or redo?

Hi there,

I created a mud pack shower pan (3.5'x5.5') out of Quikrete Sand and Topping mix adding fortifier for additional strength. It's about 1 inch think at the edges and more around the drain, as the drain sat low. It sits on top of a PVC liner with an Oatey drain. It's It has cured for 3 days and is rock hard. However, it flexes around the edges, maybe as much as 1/8" - enough that you can see the liner moves on the wall and you can see air coming out if I jump/stamp on it. If I knock on the pan, it does begin to sound hollow as I move from the drain (which is solid) towards the edges. I'm suspecting I tightened the liner too much towards the curb and maybe the edges, so it doesn't properly lay against the preslope, which is built with regular mortar mix. Is the flex OK? If not, is there a way to fix it, or should I do it all over again?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, the durock should sit inside the deck mud to hold it in place
