How to install Schluter trim over multiple days
Hi,
We're going to use schluter trim for the transition from tile to drywall, outside the shower bay. So it will be an 8' vertical trim piece from floor to ceiling. We're very slow, so tiling this area will take multiple sessions over several days. Most of the schluter installation videos we've seen show the installer setting the trim in thinset and then tiling the whole thing in one go, so he can make minor adjustments to the trim positioning as he goes. We won't have that luxury. It seems that the schluter will be fixed in place with no minor adjustments possible when we come back the next day.
I've taken great pains to make sure the walls are flat and plumb, but nothing is perfect.
Am I right to worry? Are there any tricks you can share about how to correctly install a long trim piece when it's not completed in one tile session?
Thanks,
Phil
